- About Plattsburgh
Harrington Hall was dedicated on May 5, 1959, in honor of Charles M. Harrington. Harrington was a prominent attorney and judge in Plattsburgh, who served in the New York State Legislature and the College Council.
Like nearby Macomb Hall, Harrington Hall is an L-shaped, three story coed building. A main entrance and entrances on both the North and West ends make for easy access to all areas of the building. Many students enjoy Harrington Hall's proximity to our lighted tennis courts and ready-access to the recreational field
The first floor houses the residence hall director's office, mailroom, and a lounge with television. Vending machines are conveniently located in the main lobby. In the lower level there is a study lounge, a laundry room which is fully equipped with washers and dryers, and a newly renovated kitchen area. During Harrington’s recent renovation in 2013, kitchens were added on the second and third floor. An elevator services all floors. Both first floor and lower level have electric fireplaces where students like to relax while studying.
Harrington Hall is close to the College Store, Student Health Center, University Police, the Angell College Center, as well as bordering Memorial Hall. Memorial houses the gym, pool and fitness center. The picturesque Saranac River Trail is a nice venue for biking, jogging or a refreshing walk.
