The Admissions Office, located on the 10th floor of the Kehoe Administration Building, will be open Sunday, Jan. 22 rom 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
During these hours, newly admitted students to the Spring 2017 semester may stop in to discuss concerns related to their enrollment (e.g., transfer credit evaluations, change of major requests, college catalogs, etc.)
Entering students without ENG101 credit take a required Directed Self-Placement questionnaire that helps determine writing competency and indicates which course, ENG 100 or ENG 101, might best suit particular students' needs. This questionnaire is available at https://moodle.plattsburgh.edu/course/view.php?id=12159. Note: login is required.
Please direct any questions regarding this placement to the First-Year Composition program Director, Dr. Tom Friedrich, at email@example.com. Based on what students conclude, they register for ENG100 or ENG101. In the first week of all sections of ENG100 and ENG101, students also take an in-class diagnostic; if faculty readers conclude students would be better served by being in another class, students will be thus informed before the unrestricted drop/add period ends.
For new students who have not registered or who have questions for an academic advisor from their major department.
Meet with department faculty to discuss appropriate course selection and learn about degree requirements, followed by on-line registration.
Drop/Add for all matriculated students via Banner Web will end Sunday, Jan. 29 at midnight. After Jan. 29, a $20 late course-add fee will be applied. In addition, there will be a $20 fee for each course withdrawal processed beginning the second week of the semester.
