Residence halls open for new and returning students on Saturday, Aug. 27, and Sunday, Aug. 28, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. To check in, get your room combination and have your questions answered, report to the office of your assigned hall. If you do not know your assignment or if you plan to check in after Sunday, report to the Housing and Residence Life Office in Room 103 of Algonquin Hall.
No-shows forfeit their room reservation at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30. A listing of off-campus housing options is available online.
The office is open Saturday, Aug. 27, and Sunday, Aug. 28, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Student Mail Center is located in Mason Hall. The entrance is located on the lower level of the back of the building. The Student Mail Center will be open Saturday, Aug. 27 and Sunday Aug. 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Admissions Office, located on the 10th floor of the Kehoe Administration Building, will be open Sunday, Aug. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
During these hours, newly admitted students to the Fall 2016 semester may stop in to discuss concerns related to their enrollment (e.g., transfer credit evaluations, change of major requests, college catalogs, etc.)
For new students who have not registered or who have questions for an academic advisor from their major department.
Meet with department faculty to discuss appropriate course selection and learn about degree requirements, followed by on-line registration.
A students-only event. Residence hall staff members will lead new students into the auditorium for their official welcome and matriculation.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to form a welcome line at the outside center entrance to Hawkins Hall to warmly and enthusiastically cheer new students as they enter the Giltz Auditorium for the Matriculation Ceremony.
You are asked to wear your Plattsburgh attire (T-shirts and/or hats with the Plattsburgh logo) or red and white clothing. Noise makers will be provided.
Due to space constraints, attendance at the ceremony cannot be accommodated, so you are free to leave after the students walk through the line.
Drop/Add for all matriculated students via Banner Web will be Sunday, Aug. 28 at 5:15 p.m. through Sunday, Sept. 4 at 11:30 p.m.. After Sept. 4, a $20 late course-add fee will be applied. In addition, there will be a $20 fee for each course withdrawal processed beginning the second week of the semester.

The Financial Aid Office, 4th floor Kehoe Administration Building, is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Financial Aid Office will also be open on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Students participating in the Federal Work-Study Program were emailed an information packet in early August. Log in to your MyPlattsburgh.edu account and go to the "Student Services" tab and then the “Student Employment – Cardinal Connect" link to view available work study positions.
Students who have not yet adjusted their bills, confirmed their enrollment, and/or paid their balances are encouraged to do so on MyPlattsburgh.
Student Accounts service windows and phones will be open Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27 and 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Normal window and phone hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. except on Thursday when they are open at 9 a.m. Student Accounts staff can be reached in person on the first floor of Kehoe. Students interested in part-time, temporary or summer employment on or off campus can stop by the Career Development Center (Angell College Center, Suite 118) to review job openings.
Students do not have to demonstrate financial need to be eligible for these services, although they may need to be matriculated in a degree program.
The Part-time Job Fest will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Angell Center Cardinal Lounge. Students who are seeking part-time jobs on campus or off campus should attend. The Job Fest will feature representatives from the Career Development Center to help you login to CardinalConnect, begin to develop your resume, and navigate other Career-related technology and services. Representatives from Financial Aid will also be on hand to answer questions. Come early to check out part-time jobs that are available on campus and in the local community and on campus employers will be invited to attend.
Job leads are posted in CardinalConnect (access this through MyPlattsburgh, click on the Career Development logo button and search jobs) and can be accessed at the Career Development Center, Angell College Center 118.
Students who need to have their photo taken may do so from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, through Friday, Sept. 2.
ID card office is located in Clinton Dining Hall.
Cardinal Cash deposits may be made weekdays throughout the school year at College Auxiliary Services, located in Clinton Dining Hall, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Special hours will be on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27 and 28 from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Deposits are also accepted at the Angell Center Desk and the Student Accounts Office (financial aid transactions) or online at www.cardinalcard.com.
Meal Plan adjustments may be made at the College Auxiliary Services office (Clinton Hall) from Saturday, Aug. 27 until close of business (4:30 p.m.) on Thursday, September 8.
The College Store is located in Saranac Hall.
The Campus Express convenience store is located in the Angell College Center.
All vehicles parked on campus must be registered with University Police. Go to My.Plattsburgh::
Veterans may file a DD-214 with University Police to request a waiver of parking fees within 30 days of the start of the semester.
Ticketing begins August 29; “No Permit Visible” ticketing begins September 8th. After the start of the semester, late registrants have 48 hours to properly display their hang tag.
The Telecommunications Office is located on lower level of Saranac Hall, underneath the College Store.
If you are a new or returning student residing in a residence hall and are interested in hooking up a Land-line phone, at your own expense, please call Telecommunications at (518) 564-7975 or (877) 493-0247, or visit the office on the lower level of Saranac Hall.
