This is a mandatory fee for all students who are enrolled in at least one course on the main campus. It supports the operational expenses of the Intercollegiate Athletic Program. Payment of this fee allows for free admission to all seasonal games based on seating capacity. Students who fall into the following categories, however, are exempt from this fee and can deduct it from their bills:
- Students registered in programs requiring that they be away from the Plattsburgh campus (such as student teaching, study abroad, internships, co-ops, branch campus students; and those students taking all independent study courses); or
- Employees of SUNY Plattsburgh or the Research Foundation who are enrolled in classes (excludes graduate assistants and dorm assistantships); or
- Students enrolled in three credit hours or less who commute more than 35 miles each way to campus.
Extraordinary requests for exemption can be made to the Dean of Students. Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the first day of the semester.
