Common Questions About Cardinal Care Computer Services (CCCS)

If I sign up for CCCS, how many service requests can I make during the semester?

Unlimited. We will attempt to fix any computer problems you may have.

What if my computer does not boot up? Will this be covered under the contract?

Yes! The computer will need to be brought to our repair shop in the library. Here we will determine the cause of the problem, fix-it if it's a software problem, or if it's a hardware problem, recommend hardware to purchase.

Does CCCS include support for printers?

Maybe. Printers fall under the "best effort" service category. We will verify printer communications and troubleshoot software problems. However if the printer has a hardware problem we may not be able to fix it because printer manufactures do not sell parts for most inkjet models.

If I need parts for my computer, does CCCS cover the cost of any computer parts?

No. It is your responsibility to purchase any parts needed to complete the repairs. We will recommend the parts needed for repair and where to purchase them. CCCS does include the labor to install the parts and test them. Although we install the parts, we do not warranty them. Warranty for any new parts would be directly through the original point of purchase.
