Updates and New Services
Sophos Antivirus Updated - Our campus virus-protection software, Sophos, has been upgraded to Version 5 - Download your copy now.
Network Enhancements - You can never have enough bandwidth, so we have added more of it. We are also working to improve hardware that is expected to improve the system significantly.
Facility Upgrades - Be sure to visit our new Student Technology Resource Center (STRC). Find the STRC on the first level of the library, near the Service Desk and Computer Lab, in a convenient suite of connected rooms (106, 106A, and 106B). The STRC includes...
- The Mac Room adds an important Macintosh dimension to our environment of personal computers on campus.
- The Group Work Room has six PCs, including a host computer equipped with Teamspot group-collaboration software. Teamspot allows groups of users to share open documents and work on projects simultaneously. Students can also use their own laptops to connect to the host computer and join in the shared computing resources.
- The Student Presentation Room contains a group-meeting table, a networked computing station, and projection equipment. This space gives students the privacy needed for preparing and practicing their class presentations.
