Radio Minor at SUNY Plattsburgh

Interested in radio broadcasting? Complement your own field of study with a radio minor. You get to explore both the on-air and pre-production aspects of radio. Classroom knowledge is supplemented with hands-on experiences available on both WARP Radio and at WQKE FM. These opportunities will develop your on-air expertise producing music, news, sports, or talk shows.

The radio minor helps you to gain an awareness of audience needs and gives you a greater appreciation of the civic responsibilities associated with radio broadcasting. You get to explore demographic research and apply your knowledge with digital audio editing techniques that can be applied to other fields of study in the form of podcasting.
