The Saranac Review was born in 2004 out of four writers' vision to open a space for the celebration of many diverse voices. The Saranac Review is committed to dissolving boundaries of all kinds, seeking to publish an array of emerging and established writers from Canada and the United States.
In its short history, SR has published Jay Parini, Julia Alvarez, Donald Revell, Xu Xi, Jessica Grant, Marilyn Nelson, Lawrence Raab, T. Alan Broughton, Jacob M. Appel, Tom Wayman, Colette Inez, Louise Warren, Brian Campbell, Gregory Pardlo, Myfanwy Collins William Giraldi, and many fine emerging writers. So far, the journal has received two Pushcart nominations.
