Entrepreneurship Major

Major in Entrepreneurship (120 credits)

The entrepreneurship program offers a curriculum that will prepare you to start your own business and/or to become a project manager in a large business. In addition to real-world hands-on and experiential class projects, the program incorporates the flexibility to be able to tailor some of your requirements to your interests in order to help you reach your own entrepreneurial objectives.

Our program consists of several foundation courses in entrepreneurship:

  • Entrepreneurial Communication and Leadership
  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • Financial Planning for Entrepreneurs
  • Entrepreneurial Resourcefulness
  • Entrepreneurial Growth and Exit Strategies

Combined with the flexibility to choose a course in a field that meets your entrepreneurial interests, such as

  • New Product Development
  • Electronic Business and Web Design
  • Retail Store Management
  • Selected Topics in Entrepreneurship
  • Services Marketing
  • Any course related to entrepreneurial projects and approved by the department chair

And the opportunity to discover and develop your entrepreneurial skills in an internship. Students may select an internship at the Small Business Development Center, Technical Assistance Center, or in any business or industry.
