Learning is good. Doing is better.

Whether you want to be a scientist, engineer or teacher — or go into any field — math and science are necessities nowadays.

Here, you can take part in award-winning research with outstanding faculty, like a presidential award winner, the recipient of grants in physics and astronomy and experts in fields like math curriculum development, fuzzy sets, and logic-based programming.

Our alumni hold leadership positions in banks, investment firms and retirement systems. They have successful careers as teachers, park rangers, environmental analysts, agricultural chemists, and pollution control experts. One even won a presidential award for teaching math and science.

Math, computer science, biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, cytotechnology, medical technology — explore all this and more at SUNY Plattsburgh.
