Marilyn Reynolds

Adjunct Lecturer of Music

Marilyn Reynolds earned a Bachelor of Music at Oberlin Conservatory, where she studied with David Cerone and Richard Young. She later attained First Prize with Distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, Belgium as the student of Andre Gertler. She studied with Margaret Pardee and attended the Meadowmount School of Music during high school. She participated regularly in the Cleveland Chamber Music Seminars, as well as Binghamton and Kent State summer programs, and was a Tanglewood Orchestra Fellow. She has performed at the Tanglewood, Blossom, Caramoor, and other festivals, and attended the Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute and Mozarteum Sommerakademie in Salzburg, Austria.

Ms. Reynolds was a member of the Orchestra of St. Luke’s for many years, performing, touring nationally and internationally, and performing on many recordings with the group. She also performed on Broadway as concertmaster and assistant conductor for numerous musicals, including Sunday in the Park with George, Les Miserables, Into the Woods, and revivals of Chicago, The Apple Tree, Gypsy, and White Christmas. A few years ago she and her husband, former Metropolitan Opera baritone Roger Andrews, changed their lives, moving to a Victorian home on the shore of Lake Champlain. Ms. Reynolds now teaches at SUNY Plattsburgh, as well as privately in her home and at the Strand Center for the Arts.
