The Student Nutrition Association is one of the many campus clubs at SUNY Plattsburgh. The club is free and open to all nutrition students. Meetings are usually held weekly.

Membership offers a way to participate in campus and community volunteer work and service, network with fellow students, attend educational conferences, and make new friends. Participation, especially if serving as an officer, will enhance your resume for dietetic internships, scholarships and future employment. Some of the activities last year include:

  • Awareness and Educational events on and off campus
  • Food Drives
  • Pot lucks, Hiking, Field trips to local food producers and apple orchards
  • Volunteering at community events, such as community garden and fund Raising events for non-profit organizations
  • Attending professional conferences, including the New York State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Annual Meeting and Expo
