Summer Open House

Date: Friday, July 13

This special event is for prospective students just starting to explore their college options.

SUNY Plattsburgh's Summer Open House is an opportunity for students and parents to learn more about the quality education that we offer through an informational and interactive Admissions Presentation and Student Panel.

In addition, it's also a great way to experience the campus first-hand by taking a guided campus tour!

Schedule of Events


To give you a better idea of the day's activities, below is the schedule of events. Attendees will receive a Summer Open House Program upon arrival which will list all of the activities, with additional information about each activity.

1:30 - 2:15 p.m

Check-in and Light Refreshments. Location: Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.

1:30 - 2:15 p.m

Student Services Fair. Location: Au Sable Hall, Lobby.

2:15 - 3 p.m.

Admissions Presentation and Student Panel. Learn about application essentials, academic programs and options, and receive an overview of SUNY Plattsburgh and our surrounding area. Also, learn about campus life and educational experiences from an interactive panel with a few of our currently enrolled students. Location: Hawkins Hall.

3 - 4:30 p.m.

Campus Tours. Students and their families are taken on a guided tour of the campus that includes a residence hall, fitness center, library, academic buildings, and a dining facility. Location: Tours will start at and return to the Hawkins Hall. Complementary ice cream will be available at Hawkins Pond.
