Northcountry Planetarium Hosts 'Black Holes' Presentation

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Nov. 9, 2017) — The Northcountry Planetarium presents “Black Holes: Not Even Curiosity Can Escape,” accompanied by an ephemeris, or data table, of the 2017 fall sky, Friday, Nov. 17, at 7 and 8:30 p.m. in Hudson Hall.

The Northcountry Planetarium at SUNY Plattsburgh, established in 1964, performs as a 360-degree multimedia sky theater, allowing visitors to experience live, interactive programs and automated productions that feature realistic night skies, virtual journeys through the solar system and deep space phenomena. 

Tickets are $5 for children and students with ID, $6 for seniors and SUNY staff with ID, and $7 for the public. Only cash or checks are accepted. Tickets can be purchased Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Hudson 337. On the day of show, they can be purchased in Hudson 104 until 15 minutes prior to show time.

Designated parking for Hudson Hall and the Northcountry Planetarium is in Hawkins Hall P2 lot.
