Publication Opportunities

The International Undergraduate Journal for Service-learning, Leadership and Social Change is dedicated to providing undergraduate students a venue to discuss their service-learning projects and experiences. Submit by email to: Joyce Fields, Professor of Child and Family Studies, Columbia College, jfields@columbiasc.edu.

The editorial board of the Journal of Community Engagement and Scholarship (JCES) at the University of Alabama invites the submission of manuscripts that relate to its mission: To provide a mechanism through which faculty, staff, and students of academic institutions and their community partners may disseminate scholarly works from all academic disciplines. A goal of the publication is to integrate teaching, research, and community engagement. All forms of writing, analysis, creative approaches, and methodologies are acceptable for the journal.

Submit to Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement, a publication of the University of Georgia. The mission of the JHEOE is to serve as the premier peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal to advance theory and practice related to all forms of outreach and engagement between higher education institutions and communities.This includes highlighting innovative endeavors; critically examining emerging issues, trends, challenges, and opportunities; and reporting on studies of impact in the areas of public service, outreach, engagement, extension, engaged research, community-based research, community-based participatory research, action research, public scholarship, service-learning, and community service.

Journal of Public Scholarship in Higher Education aims to advance the status and prospects for publicly engaged teaching and research in the academy by showcasing the new disciplinary and/or pedagogical knowledge generated by engagement with the community.

Journal of Service Learning in Higher Education is an online, international, peer-reviewed journal for the dissemination of original research regarding effective institutional-community partnerships.

Michigan Journal of Community Service is an international, peer-reviewed journal with faculty and administrator subscribers and readers all over the world, and publishes articles on: research, theory, pedagogy, and other issues pertinent to (a) curriculum-based service-learning, (b) campus-community partnerships, (c) scholarship of engagement, and (d) scholarship on engagement.

Partnerships: A Journal of Service-Learning & Civic Engagement focuses on how theories and practices can inform and improve partnerships, connections, and collaborations between students, faculty, community agencies, administrators, disciplines, and more. This peer-reviewed, online journal of North Carolina Campus Compact is hosted by the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, and managed by distinguished faculty throughout United States higher education.

Purdue Journal of Service-Learning and International Engagement is dedicated to students who conduct projects with strong service-learning and academic civic engagement aspects.
