Parking at SUNY Plattsburgh
The University Police Department (UPD) assists faculty, staff, students, visitors, and vendors with finding appropriate solutions for parking on campus; while maintaining the safety of all through parking compliance within the guidelines set forth by the State University of New York Traffic and Parking Regulations Part 565 - Plattsburgh.
UPD assists with parking registration for:
- Campus members, including faculty/staff and students, who are classified in the Banner system, and have access to online registration online in MyPlattsburgh.
- Non-campus employees, who are not classified in Banner (Chartwells, third-party affiliates, temp hires, etc), and registering through a supervisor (authorized "agent).
- Visitor parking registration and parking for large public events when no permit is required to park in designated areas.
UPD educates individuals on parking compliance through campus notices, campus Digest messages, media releases, and signage.
UPD also enforces parking regulations through ticketing and towing, when necessary, according to the State University of New York Traffic and Parking Regulations Part 565 - Plattsburgh.
