CSD342 - Introduction to Phonetics (3 cr.)

This course will include the study of the science of speech sounds as elements of language and their acoustic, articulatory and physiologic characteristics; transcription practice of both normal and impaired speech using the International Phonetic Alphabet; analysis of articulatory errors. Liberal Arts Prerequisite(s): CSD241 (may be taken concurrently). Semester(s) Offered: Fall.
