EDR360 - Using children's Literature and Trade Books in the Classroom (3 cr.)

A study of the use of children's literature and trade books in the classroom. Development and application of criteria used in selecting books for a variety of uses (read aloud, content areas instruction, shared reading). An exploration of the interrelationship of children's needs, interests, cultural backgrounds, attitudes, and reading behaviors. Liberal Arts Prerequisite(s): matriculation into BS/MSED in early childhood education, childhood education/literacy education (birth to grade 6) combined program and EDU240.
