RDG100 - College Reading (2 cr.)

Reading 100 accompanies English 100 (Writers Workshop). The same text is used in both courses so that the readings provide a basis for the writings. Reading 100 provides the students the opportunity to work in depth with the material. Class time will also be used to underline, to take notes, to outline, to look up vocabulary words or historical background, and to read related materials. The format of the course will primarily be class discussion and participation. Several kinds of tests and discussion of the effectiveness of each kind will prepare students to reread and retest in order to learn to become successful test takers. Semester(s) Offered: Fall, Spring.
