Moffitt Residence Hall
Moffitt Hall was dedicated on March 13, 1970, in honor of Brigadier General Stephen Moffitt, of Clintonville. In 1866, Moffitt returned from the Civil War to Plattsburgh where he served as Deputy Collector of Internal Revenue.
Enjoy a Great View of the Campus
Moffitt Hall is a nine story high rise, suite building with coed living conditions.
There are four suites on each floor for either six or eight people.
A main entrance on the North side makes for easy access to all areas of the building.
All uppers floors have a great view of the college campus, Lake Champlain, or the Adirondacks.
The first floor houses the residence director's office, the mailroom, and pay telephones. There is also a lounge, with television, vending machines, and a kitchenette area. Also on the first floor is a study lounge. In the lower level there is a laundry room which is fully equipped with washers and dryers. Even numbered floors in Moffitt Hall each have their own floor lounge, with a television.
