Odyssey: An Outdoor Experience for SUNY Plattsburgh Freshmen
Dates: August 20-26, 2017
Hike, Climb, and Paddle Your Way Into Your College Career
Odyssey is an adventure-based program for first-year freshman students at SUNY Plattsburgh.
Hike an Adirondack Mountain peak, rock-climb in the Adirondacks, and paddle on the nearby lakes and rivers. You will stay at a camp facility, and sleep in cabins, eat in a dining hall, and use real bathrooms.
Make New Friends
Odyssey gives you a smooth transition to college life through guided group experiences in the spectacular natural environment of the Lake Champlain-Adirondack mountain region. No prior outdoor experience is required.
Odyssey introduces you to fellow students and expert faculty in settings that make interaction easy. It's a great opportunity to create your own adventure with new friends and begin your college experience at SUNY Plattsburgh. You will also have the bonus of early check-in to your residence hall and avoid those move-in day crowds!.
Who Can Participate?
The Odyssey program is open to any first year incoming freshmen student. You must be physically fit to participate in this program.
