One-on-one consultations to address the tech issues most important to you. Course design guidance for fully online and hybrid courses, covering both technology and pedagogy issues. Our TEL staff also maintain regular office hours. If you’ve got a question regarding an application of teaching with technology, we’ll help you to find an answer.
Teaching: Online, Hybrid, and Web-Enhanced
SUNY Plattsburgh uses the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver online, hybrid, and Web-enhanced courses and course materials. A variety of workshops assist you with designing and delivering your courses. Three times a year, TEL delivers a comprehensive 2.5-day Teaching with Moodle workshop. This workshop is required for all faculty wishing to teach a fully online or hybrid course, and needs to be completed at least one semester before teaching the course.
Experiment and practice
Located in Feinberg Library, our Instructional Technology Resource Center (ITRC) is a small faculty-only multimedia lab. It’s home to specialized hardware and software for the digitization and editing of audio, video, and graphics. The ITRC gives you a space where you can perform the multimedia tasks that you can’t get done in your office. It’s available to faculty whenever the library is open; simply ask staff at the Second Floor Service Desk to let you in.
